LaFontaine is located in Liberty Township of Wabash County, conveniently between the cities of Wabash and Marion.  The Town of LaFontaine was incorporated in 1873, becoming prosperous by the service of the railroad.

The LaFontaine Town Council meets at Town Hall on the second Monday of every month at 6:00 PM. In the event that a Federal Holiday falls on the second Monday of the month, Council Meetings will be held on the Tuesday following the holiday.  All residents are encouraged to attend.
